Abstract

Abdul Amir Al-Azri belongs to one of the prominent Iraqi families in the holy city of Kadhimiya (the Al-Azri family), which had a distinct impact during the rule of the Iraqi monarchy (1921-1958). Abdul Amir Al-Azri is considered one of the most prominent sons of this family, as he held administrative positions in the Ministry of Transport and Public Works in the thirties of the last century and held three ministerial positions in the forties, including during a very critical period, despite the obstacles and difficulties that the existing ministry faced. However, he had a clear impact on the orders and achievements that his ministries achieved during his presence in them, as he was able to employ the ideas, plans and projects that he acquired from his study of irrigation engineering at the University of Michigan, the largest university in the United States of America.
