Ahmed Zaki Al-Khayyat، born in Baghdad، is considered one of the distinguished administration men and diplomats in Iraq in the first half of the last century، and a two-time representative of the Bar Association. He grew up in a family that was keen on educating its children، and his family had a great influence on his intellectual formation and the building of his personality، which was filled with many administrative، scientific and cultural achievements،
Ahmed Zaki Al-Khayyat held administrative positions، and due to the Kingdom of Iraq’s need for employees، a law school graduate was quickly appointed to those positions. His positions developed from district director to mayor of Hindiya، then Qurna، and then governor of the districts (Kut، Amara، Karbala، Hilla، then Kut)، and he demonstrated distinguished administrative ability in his administrative work. He also held diplomatic posts in Mohammerah، Pompeii، India، and Jerusalem. Although he died in the seventies of the twentieth century. However، he made administrative and intellectual efforts، practiced law، retired from it in 1969، and died in 1974.
