School Phobia in Children at Primary Schools (A Comparative Study)

The current research aims to identify school phobia among children in primary schools (governmental and private), in addition to identifying statistical differences between males and females in the research sample, and this study contributes to highlighting the problem of phobia among children, which supports early diagnosis efforts and the development of appropriate therapeutic interventions for this age group To a(Bowlby's) definition of school phobia, the scale included 19 items, and its psychometric properties were verified, including In that honesty, stability and discrimination, and to calculate stability, the methods of alpha Cronbach and re-test were used, where the results showed that the scale has a high degree of stability, which reflects its efficiency to measure school phobia, and the scale was applied to the study sample consisting of 400 children in public and private primary schools, including males and females, and the sample was chosen randomly and the results showed that the presence of school phobia in children in primary schools with statistical differences between the sexes and as follows:
1- The emergence of school phobia among children in public schools
2-The existence of statistically significant differences in school phobias according to sex (males- females) among children in government schools in favor of males
3-The emergence of school phobia among children in private schools
4-The existence of statistically significant differences in school phobia according to sex (males - females) among children in private schools in favor of males
5-The existence of statistically significant differences in school phobia in favor of children in public schools greater than their peers in private schools
