Nubia's geography is distinguished by remarkable features, including its varied terrain, plentiful rivers, temperate climate, and fertile soil. These natural advantages supported the growth of agriculture and livestock production during the Middle Ages, complemented by an abundance of minerals and raw materials. As a result, Nubia experienced economic stability throughout this period. The Nubians were well-known for cultivating a wide range of crops with high yields, and the region’s substantial livestock resources further boosted the prosperity of the Nubian economy. This economic strength was reflected in the rise of small local industries that produced essential goods for daily life. Additionally, trade flourished within Nubia and extended to international exchanges with many countries.
