Abstract

The workforce is the driving tool for any economic activity, and in particular the industrial activity, and it is not possible to distort any development goals, whether economic or social, in any country unless there is a skilled workforce available. The economic workforce in the industrial sector has been exposed to many problems that It was reflected in the final outcome on its size and thus was reflected on the volume and quantity of production. The research aims mainly to know the numbers of the workforce in each industrial sector in the Baghdad governorate. It also mainly aims to know the numbers of the workforce in each industrial sector in the Baghdad governorate. The research also aims To find out the reasons for the decline in the number of the workforce in order to develop the necessary solutions., The size of the economic workforce in large industrial facilities in Baghdad governorate for the year 1997 was (88,158), to decline to (43,753) for the year 2020, and this is due to the destruction that occurred in the industrial facilities and most of them stopped. , In terms of geographical distribution by industrial sectors, the food industries sector ranked first with (10,745) workers in 2020, while the wood industries sector ranked last with (140) workers for the year 2020.
