Moral Purity and Its Relationship to Meaning of Life

Moral purity is one of the main components of moral behavior, which involves values and principles directed towards protecting the sanctity of the moral and social aspect and developing self-control in controlling behavior, which is reflected in the individual’s relationship with the meaning of his life, from self-satisfaction and developing his capabilities towards better behavior. The study aimed to know:
1- Moral purity among university students
2- The meaning of life among university students.
3- The statistically significant relationship between moral purity and the meaning of life.
As the research sample consisted of (200) male and female students from Al-Mustansiriya University, College of Education and College of Science, they were selected randomly. To achieve the objectives of the research, the researchers adopted the scale (Abdul Ali 2020), which includes (30) items, adopting the theory of (the foundations of moral foundations) after the characteristics were extracted. The psychometrics of the scale, in terms of validity and reliability. The Meaning of Life Scale, which includes (20) items, was prepared by adopting Frankl’s theory. Good scale indicators of construct validity and reliability were reached. After conducting statistical analysis and using the t-test for sample and population and the Pearson correlation coefficient, the results of the research showed that .
1-The research sample has moral purity.
2- The research sample has the meaning of life.
3- There is a relationship between moral purity and the meaning of life.
Through the results of the research, the researcher came to a number of recommendations and proposals
