Abstract

Studying the logical foundations of renewal in Islamic thought does not mean renewing the religion itself, as this was fully revealed and completed according to the verse of completion and perfection. Furthermore, the foundations and soundness of the religion do not require reform or renewal. The very essence and proof of the religion, in its true sense, are divinely sourced. Rather, the apparent meaning, which is the focus of this research, refers to reformulating the foundational concepts upon which Islamic thought is built, in light of modernity and renewal. This ensures the continued validity of faith in its relevance, so that it may serve as the guiding force for humanity. This is achieved by linking intellectual concepts to a renewed vision, based on the new perceptions imposed by the realities of modernity, to keep pace with developments in human and social nature. These developments form the foundations for future generations. In other words, renewal is the domain of Islamic thought, encompassing the intellectual output of both early and later scholars, as well as understanding Islamic principles through new perspectives to derive theories and methodologies for the advancement of humanity, the security of its social interests, and the codification of its laws in accordance with its needs and the imperatives of its security. And the safety of her community.
