Abstract

The field of children's literature is one of the modern fields that contributes to modifying the child's behavior, refining his personality, paying attention to his culture, and expanding his awareness and development. The curricula at the primary level, especially in the Arabic language, starting from the first grade until the sixth grade, are not devoid of these arts, as I relied on them in the book ( In my reading, we find these literary genres (story, poetry, play) They suit the stages of student development, and these arts can be invested in developing their thinking skills and activating their memory. Through our observation of the stages of development of students in primary schools, we noticed that some male and female teachers do not focus on activating memory and developing skills in it while teaching. They still adhere to the methods of the old curriculum that focuses To memorize and memorize, that is, to emphasize the scientific material. Not paying attention to the health, social and mental aspects of students. This type of curriculum does not give the student sufficient opportunities to develop thinking and enhance skills. Moreover, it is far from stimulating memory in children because they lose the means of activation. This educational method does not create talents, but rather is a waste of effort and time.
