Now, as we review in this research (Ayoub Castle, a study of its general conditions), it is considered one of the oldest cities built by Muslims in Andalusia. At the beginning of its construction, first as a castle after the conquest of Zaragoza, the region of eastern Andalusia witnessed many revolutions, especially for the sake of controlling its forts and castles. Because controlling fortresses and castles is tantamount to controlling the lands of cities belonging to eastern Andalusia as a whole, and perhaps building fortresses and fortresses in rugged areas was among the reasons that precipitated the fall of Andalusia by repelling Christian attacks against Muslims and ensuring agricultural production in the plain areas. The study of ancient Islamic castles occupies a large space. A major part of the history of Andalusia, as it represents the power of the Islamic state at various levels, whether political or cultural. Eyup Castle, by virtue of its location and topography, is considered, over time, one of those Andalusian cities that left an impact in the history of Andalusia, which extended for more than eight centuries. It had a share since the Islamic conquest. Until its fall into the hands of the Spaniards (96-514 AH / 711-1120 AD), it faced many pressures and successive sieges to mark its end during the Almoravid era and for the curtain to fall on it, adding one of the many hardships that the cities of Andalusia went through.
