The Practicing Degree of probe Thinking Skills by Social Studies Teachers in Al Mafraq Governorate

The study aimed to identify the degree to which Geography Teachers’ Employment of the probe Thinking Skills in Salt Directorate of Education. The descriptive survey method was used. The study tool consisted of a questionnaire that included the probing thinking skills, which numbered (30) items, distributed on the cognitive, emotional and skill domains. It was distributed to the study sample of (86) male and female teachers.
The results of the study showed that the degree to which Geography Teachers’ Employment of the probe Thinking Skills practiced probing thinking skills was moderate, and the emotional domain came first, then the cognitive domain, and finally the skill domain, the results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences according to the variables of gender and experience, The results also showed that were statistically significant differences in academic qualifications in favor of postgraduate studies. In light of the results, the study presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which is attention to probing thinking skills in the emotional and skill fields among geography teachers.
